Apparently, the Pope told Father Hernan Peredes, who told Time that Pope Francis "wishes" to have a slice of pizza while in New York City.
Everyone knows we've got the best pizza place in the Universe, but the big question, the one we're all collectively holding our breaths for; the information for which we absolutely cannot wait, is which pizza place will the Pope choose for that famed slice he'll consume?
Will it be Grimaldi's? Will it be Artichoke Basille's? Will it be Motorino?
Well, this just in. Bleecker Street Pizza in Greenwich Village seems to really want the honor of the Pope's presence. Seeing as they've designed a pizza with the Pope on it.
The pizza is comprised of mozzarella and tomato. The Pope is wearing a robe made out of extremely delicious ricotta cheese. The illustration of Jesus on his cross is made from anchovies, as well as the shadows on his robe and his face.
The yellow on his hat is made from pineapples, and the red and green parts of his garments are made of red peppers and cucumbers.

His skin tone is a mixture of ricotta cheese and raspberries, which manager Tony Salihaj said was the hardest part of the portrait to get right.
All in all, the pizza is not only a fabulous work of art for which the Vatican probably wants to bid, but it also sounds extremely delicious.

"We're not artists. We're just pizza people," said Salihaj. Hey Salihaj, stop selling yourself short! We bet the Pope will definitely choose your shop to eat his slice.
It took five hours for Salihaj and his team to concoct this pizza, so he says he doesn't have time to make more. Even though some have offered him $1,000 for a pie, and a request for 30 of those pies.
We have to say, we'd be willing to pay a pretty penny for it, but for now we'll be content to look.
