We've all heard a story about our friends who travelled to Germany for Oktoberfest and got way too drunk. 

We all have friends who ate six giant German sausages, yelled in Italian for cab drivers to bring them to their apartment in Italy, and passed out in German lawns after ingesting way too much German beer. 

Even more unfortunate are those stories about American millennials who storm Germany for Oktoberfest and get in a misguided and drunken altercation about American politics.

Well, listen up New York City, because we have some fabulous news. 

You do not need to go all the way across the Atlantic Ocean to get wild'n out for Oktoberfest. In fact, all you really need to do is grab a subway, bus, or cab to Central Park.

On Saturday, September 19th the Steuben Day Parade will erupt its insanity in Central Park at noon, followed by an Oktoberfest Celebration in Central Park's Rumsey Playfield with beers, bands, wine, fun, and lots of German food.

Jamming out all day long will be the German-American band SPITZE, whose horn section absolutely kills it. Musical performances from Grammy nominee Alex Meixner and his band will also rock Rumsey Playfield's stage.

We're hoping you snagged your general admission tickets, because they're grievously sold out. 

If not, though, grab your VIP tickets here. They get you entry, and a private tent with beer, wine, and food. That sounds pretty great, right?
