It's getting there. You know it. You've felt the first inklings of falls creep into your bones. It smells like sweaters and pumpkin spice lattes. It's time to get into fall, and we couldn't be happier.
With September fully under way now, we want you to rock out in the best way you possibly can.
There are a ton of festivals that will unfold their magic upon New York City this week while you slowly pull your sweaters out of your closet and engage in the first wave of boot shopping.
All you alcohol buffs, make your way to the Wine Riot or the Brooklyn Local Craft Beer Festival. For all you book lovers, you'll find valhalla at the Brooklyn Book Festival, and movie enthusiasts will go crazy over the Coney Island Film Festival.
Those of you who love to laugh, get your way to Stand Up New York on Wednesday for "Late and Loud Standup Comedy".

1. Wednesday, September 16th
Late and Loud Standup Comedy (236 West 78th Street)
Stand Up New York will feature the standup of Roddy MacInnes on Wednesday evening at 10:30 p.m. MacInne's self-deprecating standup perfectly complements the other comedians who will hit the mic alongside him, namely Kyle Grooms and James Mattern.
The show is guaranteed to get you rollin'. It does have a two drink minimum, but only costs a measly $5 if you buy the tickets on YPlan. You could definitely do worse, as they typically cost $15. Also, who hates drinks?
Snag your tickets here, and get ready for some full belly laughs. You know, the kind that give you the best possible kind of stomachache, rather than a groaning, pulling in your stomach from too much street meat.

On Thursday, September 17th, we're throwing the greatest 90s bash of the century with Tablelist at Hudson Terrace. You stoked? Because we certainly are.
We can't guarantee any actual time-travel, but we'll be pouring out absurd cocktails that remind you of being a kid (you know, when hangovers were really only from way too much sugar), as well as an hour open bar from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
After we're all good and wasted, the party will rage on until 11 p.m.
We'll be rocking to the beats of DJs Franco Finelli, Rodney Hazard, and Nick Zallo, and enjoying breathtaking views of the Hudson River. Doesn't get much better than that, does it?

Friday, September 18th
3. Coney Island Film Festival (1208 Surf Avenue - Brooklyn)
The Coney Island Film Festival shows nearly 100 innovate shorts and campy film classics. This year marks the festival's 15th anniversary, and opening night films include the short, "Birthday," and the documentary, Us, Naked: Trixie & Monkey.
They'll be shown at the Coney Island Museum, on the 2nd floor. Tickets are only $8, but buying them in advance is highly recommended. Get them here.

4. Wine Riot (68 Lexington Avenue)

Do you love wine? Like do you actually go completely insane over trying new wine?
Then Wine Riot, going down this Friday and Saturday at the 69th Regiment, are absolutely perfect for you. Wine Riot provides New Yorkers access to hundreds of new wines from around the world at this revolution for the thirsty and curious.
This event will include interactive booths and crash courses with tips and tricks for maneuvering the wine world. There will also be rocking DJs, photo booths, and a couple thousand other wine enthusiasts.

On Saturday and Sunday, the Queens County Fair will spread joy through the Queens County Farm Museum and beyond, and it's the absolute perfect fall activity.
From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the gorgeous, oasis of the farmland there will be blue ribbon competitions in livestock, produce, home crafts, arts and crafts, and more. Talk about forgetting you're in the city!
This event will also include live entertainment performed by acrobats, magicians, and an Irish band on Saturday and a German band on Sunday. You can also spend the day wandering the Queens County Farm Museum's 3-acre corn maze.
Want to eat pie, enjoy a hayride and carnival rides? Yeah, we thought so. Admission to the Queens County Fair is $9 at the gate.
Sunday, September 20th

Rocking its way into NYC this Sunday is the Brooklyn Book Festival. It's the largest free literary event in NYC, and presents a variety of national, international, and emerging authors.
Do you love books? How about buying books at discounted prices, and having them signed by esteemed and famous authors, who will afterwards shake your hand and smile at you? Sounds like a total blast to us.
Plus, there will also be incredible food vendors and book talks at this giant literary festival. This year's the 20th anniversary of the Brooklyn Book Festival, which is unfolding at the Brooklyn Borough Hall and Plaza on 209 Joralemon Street. Catch ya there?
