North Brooklyn is getting tasty for the 6th Annual TASTE Williamsburg Greenpoint (TASTE or TASTE WG for short), and it's for a local charity.
The boozily delectable event (21+) is going down this Sunday, September 13th at the East River State Park, and the excitement is more than warranted.
Over 40 of the top Brooklyn brewers, restaurants, and bars including Brooklyn Brewery, Pies 'n Thighs, Bruce Cost Ginger Ale, The Meatball Shop, Sweetwater, and The Williamsburg Hotel are all getting into the mix.
It'll be like going out to eat at every great place in Brooklyn, but all in one spot.
Event Director Dana Krieger is “thrilled to have such prominent, beloved restaurants and bars be so supportive of an important cause for North Brooklyn. Be sure to also check out the highly anticipated newcomers to the neighborhood like Lilia and The Williamsburg Hotel.”
Not only is TASTE considered to be New York City's most affordable (we've got a promo code for you too!) food & drink tasting event, but all the proceeds go towards the renovation of the old Engine Company 212 Firehouse.
The plan is to outfit the former fire station for community events and "provide a permanent home to neighborhood social justice organizations for continued advocacy and direct services to Williamsburg and Greenpoint."

There are three tiers of tickets, and here's how they work: for $35, the Bedford Package will get you four tastes and two drinks, and the Roebling Package is $55 and buys eight tastes and four drinks.
