There’s nothing better than spending your entire weekend watching dudes run into each other at full speed and score touchdowns. Well, aside from watching it happen at a dope sports bar in New York City with all your buddies.
So, we’re here to try and hook you up with the best possible football watching experience available in NYC.
We’re talking about delicious wings, cold beer, smokey BBQ, and so many flat screen TV’s that it’ll make your head spin.
If you’re interested in getting all liquored up and cheering on the Jets (before they have a chance to disappoint), your alma mater, or some other school that you root for because of some made up reason that seems logical only to you, then you have come to the right place.
Here they are, some of the absolute best sports bars in NYC.
1. Mason Jar NYC (43 East 30th Street)

This place is huge. It’s awesome for coming with a huge group of your buddies. The seating is comfortable and perfect for chilling in for an afternoon of football.
The food, across the board, is delicious. The brisket grilled cheese sandwich in particular is fire-flames. But, if you’re just looking for a couple of appetizers, the fried pickles and Cajun rub wings are incredible.
Mason Jar also has an unreal number of beers on tap. So many, that we get overwhelmed every time we look at the menu.
Overall, this is a great sports bar from the atmosphere to the food to the beers.
2. Rogue (757 Avenue of the Americas)

There are three key things that every great sports bar needs: great food, tons of beer, and huge TV’s. Rogue kills it in all three categories.
The food is delicious whether you’re trying to grub on strictly appetizers like the Irish nachos or get knee deep in one of their delicious blackened burgers.
The TV’s are huge and you can see them from anywhere. They have a ton of beer and liquor selections and all the bartenders we’ve encounter are super chill.
3. The Ainsworth (122 West 26th Street)
A mac and cheese burger that will make you seriously consider ordering a second one and drinks in a mason jar. That’s about as rough and rowdy football as a bar can get.
This place has so many giant flat screens that we literally lost count.
The atmosphere in the Ainsworth is perfect for watching football. The chairs are comfortable and the benches are even better. The Ainsworth dominates the NYC sports bar game.
4. The Brooklyn Tap House (590 Myrtle Avenue - Brooklyn)

Yard games, dude. We know that we’re here to talk about the best place to watch football, which this place definitely still fits, but as far as halftime entertainment goes, Brooklyn Tap House is the spot.
Their beer selection is huge and the overall atmosphere is super tight for watching college football. The mac and cheese in particular is delicious.
5. Galway Pub (7 East 36th Street)
eat_drink_repeat Just a couple of gals and some spinach and artichoke dip consumed in under 2 minutes flat.
This place used to be called Galway Hooker, but they changed it because we guess people don’t like the word hooker.
Anyway, this is a predominantly USC bar (California not Carolina) and it gets wild on Saturdays.
This is not the spot for you if you want to relax and have some casual beers during a college gameday. However, if you’re looking to get real wild and watch football on a huge projection screen, then this is in fact the spot for you.
Supposedly, this is also a Purdue bar, but we're pretty sure they've gotten kind of lost in the mass of USC fans.
6. 200 Fifth (200 5th Avenue - Brooklyn)
These are some of the best curly fries we’ve ever had and the wings are excellent.
Also, there are probably like two hundred TV’s.
It’s one of the best places in Brooklyn to kick back and watch some great football. Their beer selection is also off the charts.
7. Stout NYC (133 West 33rd Street)

This is an awesome place to catch a game. The atmosphere is super chill. The place is huge and super clean.
The food is delicious, particularly the spinach and artichoke dip, and the beer selection is massive. It doesn’t hurt that there huge flat screens on almost all of the available wall space.
