Are you stoked for the 89th Annual San Gennaro Festival in Little Italy? Because we are.

The feast will traditionally involve lots and lots of satisfying eating and full stomachs, all going down from September 10th through the 20th in Little Italy. 

The feast is expected to attract more than a million people from all over the world to salute the patron saint of Naples.

The feast will rage along Mulberry Street, between Canal and Houston Streets, on Grand Street between Mott and Baxter Streets, and on Hester Street between Mott and Baxter Streets.

The festival's home in Little Italy was also home to hundreds of thousands of Italian immigrants who came to America in the early 20th Century. We're really glad about that, because their descendants have been spreading incredible Italian food to New York City ever since. 

The festival's been presented every year since 1996 by Figli di San Gennaro, Inc. (Children of San Gennaro), a non-profit organization dedicated to keeping the spirit of America's early Italian immigrants alive.

Aside from amazing, makes-you-salivate-just-thinking-about-it food, the festival will also include live musical entertainment every day, colorful parades, religious processions, and a world-famous-cannoli-eating competition.

There won't just be Italian food either. The San Gennaro Festival presents a wide variety of ethnic food delicacies.

The central event occurs every year on September 19th, the official Saint Day. A celebration mass will be held in Shrine Church of the Most Precious Blood, which will be proceeded by a procession of the Statue of San Gennaro paraded from its home in the church through the streets in Little Italy.

If that's not enough to get you out, get this. Tony Danza will be Grand Marshal of The Grand Procession on Saturday, September 12th, along with various other honored guests.
