New York City's premiere electronic dance music festival, Electric Zoo, returns to Randall's Island Park September 4th through September 6th, and the lineup is pretty gnarly.
The Chemical Brothers, Adam Beyer, EOTO, Allen Fitzpatrick, Zed's Dead and many more-- totaling 50 artists across 4 stages over three days, aim to paint New York City neon.
Now, like many EDM festivals in the past, E-Zoo has had its share of issues.
In 2013, after 31 people were arrested, four hospitalized and two died from overdoses, city officials demanded the festival shut down.
2014 was a much more security and safety-oriented atmosphere, but was also cut short by a flash flood warning that ended that year's festivities.

This year, we're hoping people party responsibly and the weather is gorgeous, because if you're like us, you're sick of E-Zoo being a lightning rod for the bad vibes.
One good thing about this festival is that general admission tickets are damned affordable which is by no means always the case with any music festival-- EDM or not.

Day passes run about $100, a 3-day pass is about $300, and for an extra hundo you can get a 3-day VIP pass.
But if you're a supreme baller, you should spring for Tablelist's VIP table packages. Going from $1500-$10,000, you and up to 29 other guests can reserve a VIP table at the main stage and party like rockstars.

It's all about The Chemical Brothers. Their influence on contemporary dance music is unimaginable - there's a reason they're headlining night one.
Aside from them, Gramatik is always a funky good time and Zed's Dead has been a cornerstone of EDM festivals for at least a couple years now. All worth checking out.

The cursed last day of Electric Zoo will feature two of our favorite EDM artists: Griz and The Glitch Mob.
Glitch Mob has been on top for a while now, and their last album was so bonkers it makes people want to start Muay Thai or something.
Griz on the other hand, has a special knack for integrating those smooth saxophone melodies into viciously silky drops and long wobbly ventures of future-funk. They're pretty different, but both fully worth experiencing.
