Today is #ThrowBackThursday, and do you know what that means? 

Of course you do. It means today is the day to drench ourselves in heart-wrenching nostalgia. 

And everyone who has the gall to call themselves New Yorkers knows, "Smelly Cat" by Phoebe Buffay is one of the most important anthems for our generation.

Did you know that "Smelly Cat" first debuted on Friends' second season on November 2nd, 1995?

Yup, sounds like a perfect 90s throwback to us.

Basically, "Smelly Cat" is of the utmost importance when it comes to cultural phenomena.

And we are pleased to announce that Taylor Swift is stoked about #TBT and the 90s with us, too.

Earlier today, it was reported that Taylor Swift pulled a move that's officially cemented her a spot in New York City #TBT history: she sang smelly cat onstage, in a show in L.A., with Lisa Kudrow.
