The new $16 million SeaGlass Carousel at The Battery Conservancy is just about the most tripped out spin on a classic kid's ride we've ever seen-- and that's effin' fantastic as far as we're concerned. 

For five bucks, you get to ride INSIDE a fiberglass fish-- illuminated by LEDs, imagination, and magic. You might be used to the same old carnival music you've heard at every carousel (well, minus the ones that try to get away with spinning contemporary pop hits). 

But this ride ain't having none of that.

Because this carousel is rockin' Mozart . And that's just boss status.

Think about it. You can get inside a giant glowing fish and ride around in circles listening to the master of classical music. 

It sounds like a scene from a movie, because in what other context would artificial, king-sized, bioluminescent sea life house a human for minutes at a time?

And this is a family affair. All ages are welcome and that's just groovy. We wish we had this when we were kids. But we're not worried about that.
