Long Island City has been changing for some time now.

There have been a ton of developments budding up throughout LIC over the last four or five years, and it seems to us like an overall positive change for the neighborhood.

So if Long Island City is turning into a bigger, nicer bedroom community for folks working in Manhattan, the latest renderings of the soon-to-be tallest residential building outside of Manhattan, Queens Plaza Park, clearly show the most killer living option come 2019.

The tower will be located near the Queens Plaza subway stop-- at 915 feet tall with 800 units-- and comes complete with a backyard (featuring a play set, of course).

Not only is the new skyscraper going to be the tallest in the borough, it's not going up at the expense of the almost 90-year-old "clock tower" nearby, officially known as the Manhattan Bank Building.

So check out these renderings below; they're pretty impressive.

If all goes to plan, this is going to be a helluva apartment building-- that'll once again change the skyline of New York City, whether New Yorkers like it or not.
