We're sure you were wondering what the dopest art exhibition of the summer would entail.
Wonder no more because #StillMiseducated will be all of that and more. Why?
Because Imani Shanklin Roberts will finally unveil her newest body of paintings, and because we'll be there, of course.
Seriously, it's the perfect way to end your August.
This art exhibition will go down at Studio 301 in Brooklyn (301 Ten Eyck Street) on August 30th from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. It's inspired by the music of Lauryn Hill, and it's brought to you by The Culture LP and sponsored by spoiled NYC (that's us).
Imani SR's new paintings breathe with the life and inspiration of her visual examination of the breadth and depth ofThe Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, which is a socially relevant 90s album still resilient against time.
This event will also include nostalgic tunes, good company, and tunes by DJ Anna Collecta and Saba Jenga.
You'll also have a chance to win gifts from House of Marley, in addition to a silent auction to benefit the work of The Future Project, as well as a chance to win exclusive prints from Imani SR (plus complimentary beverages).
So end August right, and get yourself to this amazing event. RSVP here for $15.
