This past Saturday night, there was a giant lightsaber battle in Washington Square Park. Luckily for our viewing enjoyment, Ruptly TV was there filming the carnival of light and fights.

Thousands of Star Wars fans herded the park to battle in the ultimate Jedi fight versus the Sith. 

Participants could either bring their own light saber, or receive one for free from the event coordinators. 

Some of the people who brought their own lightsabers brought some intense, technically complicated ones. 

Needless to say, they fared better in the battles.
