Remember winter? You know... the dry skin, freezing ankles, and having to trudge through black, icy slush to get to work?

We know, we know, we're really sorry to bring it up. But the fact is that cold snowy desolation is on the horizon-- whether we like it or not.

The Farmer's Almanac's report for the 2015-2016 Winter is not good. It predicts this winter will be very cold, and it will be flanked with a slew of snowstorms. (Shocker, we know.)

Sure, the Farmer's Almanac has other information, like household tips, trends, recipes, and articles about things like gardening by the moon and whether it matters if the fish you eat is farm raised or wild.

But it's also predicting the demise of our happy summer vibes.

It claims the clouds will be the snowiest in mid-December, early to mid-January, and mid-to late February. (Which we all could have probably guessed ourselves if we're being real here, but whatever...)

"Just about everybody who gets snow will have a White Christmas [or Hanukkah, Kwanza, or holiday season] in one capacity or another," said Farmer's Almanac editor Janice Stillman. "We don't expect a whole lot of relief," Stillman said.

The Almanac's weather predictions are based on a formula designed by the magazine's founder Robert B. Thomas. Its conclusions are drawn based on solar cycles, climatology and meteorology.
