Sundays at Brooklyn Bridge Park are famous for Smorgasburg, when delectable food trucks that storm the riverside. But starting August 30th, that will no longer be the case.
"We're sad to leave Brooklyn Bridge Park, but it's hard to complain when our new home is literally Brooklyn's backyard," said Brooklyn Flea co-founder Eric Demby.
And yeah, we knew Prospect Park rocked. But soon it's about to rock on a whole new level.
Starting August 30th, and continuing every Sunday through October 11th, Smorgasburg will bring its delicious goodness to rage at Prospect Park.
It'll be selling ramen burgers and Kimchee tacos and Outer Borough pork scallion wraps (plus options from 100 other food vendors) at Prospect Park.
It'll all go down at Prospect Park's Breeze Hill, near the LeFrak Center at Lakeside.
And yes, Breeze Hill has plenty of space for hanging and eating. And Brooklyn Bridge Park? Their turning the patch of pavement that currently hosts Smorgasburg into a beautiful new parkland.
They "hope to have a presence in Brooklyn Heights/DUMBO again sooner than later."
But until that day, grab a bite by Prospect Park's huge lake. Visit the first urban Audubon Center in the U.S. And maybe you can even rent a kayak at the LeFrak Center after you chow down.
