At 470 feet tall, way above Coney Island's skyline, 532 Neptune Avenue will tower above the rest of the area in the not too distant future.
Word's been out on the development since January, but now, "thanks to a tipster," YIMBY's recently published some renderings of the project.
"The new building will be a major improvement compared to the existing structure, bringing more retail, a significant number of new apartments, as well as community amenities (the smallest component will be a 16,000 square foot community facility space)."
As the number of apartments has changed recently as well, some smell "on going changes" in the wind.
Over 40,000 square feet of more space than the existing space dedicates to retail, the new development will total 162,000 square ft of retail.

"While no leases have been confirmed, the renderings include Gap, Ralph Lauren, Duane Reade, and a Whole Foods."
The development at 532 Neptune Ave marks a very notable change for the neighborhood (to the displeasure of locals who have furiously protested it), but we'll just have to wait and see if that's a good or a bad thing for its residents, right?
