Sundays are a day of rest and hangovers, and it has been decreed that way for decades.
If you're not careful, you might wind up spending your entire Sunday lounging on your couch with your illicit cure of choice, a parade of Seamless deliveries, and binge watching Wet Hot American Summer on Netflix.
But let's face it.
You have an incredible city at your fingertips, and you don't have to be not hungover to enjoy it. There are plenty of excellent Sunday Funday hangover activities, and we want you to enjoy them.
So we've compiled a lovely list of them below.
1. The Museum of Sex (233 5th Avenue)
What better way is there to reminisce about the sex you had all weekend, or lament all the sex you didn't have than by touring NYC's Museum of Sex?
They have a breast moonbounce which, you know, is always a blast for everyone.

It's pretty...titillating.
Their current exhibitions include "The Sex Lives of Animals", which sounds fascinating, "Hardcore: A Century and a Half of Obscene Imagery", and "Splendor on the Grass".
You'll leave enlightened, and you'll probably spend the rest of your Sunday on Tinder. You're welcome.
2. Kayak with the Downtown Boathouse (Pier 26)

If we have a lot of people waiting we may cut off the line earlier, so we suggest coming before 4pm. We'll also be open for our regular hours on Sunday 9/25 from 9am to 4:30pm. As always, our program will be open weather permitting. Our only requirements for kayaking are that participants follow our rules, know how to swim, and have a parent or legal guardian present if under age 18.
Kayaking with the Downtown Boathouse is not very extreme. You're kayaking in a buoyed area for twenty minutes or less.
But still, splashing an oar through the Hudson River, occasionally hitting yourself in the face with some cool, placid water, is usually an excellent way to quell your hangover.
It's also an excellent way to merge NYC's glories. You're colliding the splendor of the buildings with the gorgeous river, and actually entering the river for once. Also, it's free, so that's a perk too.
The Downtown Boathouse is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free public access to the harbor in NYC. And we appreciate it. Thanks, Downtown Boathouse!
3. See a show at United Citizens Brigade (various NYC locations)
Some of America's most famous comedians have emerged from the United Citizens Brigade. Famous comedians like Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, and of course Broad City's Abby and Ilana.

They have a Chelsea location and an East Village location. They both have Sunday shows.
If you love laughing, the magic of improv, and the joy of being entertained, get to one of UCB's locations for an afternoon and enjoy the right kind of stomachache.
4. Watch True Detective at Huckleberry Bar (588 Grand Street)
Are you addicted to True Detective? Yeah, we figured not.
But if you're still watching it if only to figure out when in God's name is actually going on, where Colin Farrell's mustache went, or why Vince Vaughn is Vince Vaughning, then why not endure the sludge with every other disillusioned True Detective fan in NYC at Huckleberry Bar?
They air True Detective at this East Williamsburg bar every Sunday starting at 9 p.m.
If you get there before 9 p.m., you can combat your Sunday scaries by relaxing on Huckleberry Bar's outdoor patio, and sipping one of their fancy, specially crafted cocktails.
They also have excellent peanut butter cookies, which we believe always help with hangovers. Holler if you feel us.
,5. See a concert at Baby's All Right (146 Broadway - Brooklyn)
Yes, we're aware all the cool stuff in NYC happens in Williamsburg.
This amazing institution is a great bar, a solid eatery, and a dope music venue. All of Baby's All Right's components are amazing on their own; their collision is almost too much to take.

Their cocktails are reasonably priced, their craft beers swell, and the bands that come through here will rock your world.
They also have dollar tacos from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., so if you're balling on a budget you've got to get here for dinner this Sunday Funday.
6. Visit the Bronx Zoo (2300 Southern Boulevard - the Bronx)
What could make Sunday sadness dissipate faster than a ton of adorable animals?
The answer is nothing. Absolutely nothing can.
With a Grizzly Corner, African Plains, and a Baboon Reserve, this zoo is amazing and guaranteed to rock your Sunday. It's one of the largest zoos in the world (the absolute largest in America), and contains 6,000 animals and 650 species from around the world.
Umm, they also have a butterfly garden. And nothing is happier than a butterfly garden.

7. Mister Sunday (644 2nd Ave - Brooklyn)
Get ready to take on the week with some outdoor summer dancing.
Famous DJ Justin Carter will be mixing jams at Brooklyn's Industry City all day-- from contemporary Swedish rock, to reggae, to jump blues and techno.

This outdoor dance party sells beer, sangria, water, and lemonade. The music ends at 9 p.m., but it doesn't really die out for another half hour after that.
It's an awesome time. If you love dancing, you need to make this happen this weekend.
