We obviously love oysters. Why do we love oysters, you might be wondering?

Well, the answer is simple. They're refreshing, easy to slurp right up, and an aphrodisiac.

They're also the perfect summer food, and chowing down on them by the dozen is the perfect way to celebrate this glorious summer heat.

So, now that we've established that oysters are great, you're probably wondering where you should go to eat them after work today, right? Because you have to celebrate National Oyster Day. Obviously.

Well, we got you. Tonight, at Grand Central Oyster Bar (89 East 42nd Street), a two-pronged bivalve bonanza will be going down.

Executive Chef Sandy Ingber will be concocting "The National Oyster Day Power Platter," which you most definitely do not want to miss. It will feature eight oysters from the East and West coasts, and it'll only set you back $21.15.

Is that not good enough for you? That's fine. We've got more.

Nerai (55 East 54th Street) in Midtown East will be serving up dollar oysters all day long to celebrate the national festivities. They've got four East and West coast options to choose from, and you'll definitely leave this Greek hotspot satiated.

And last, but most certainly not least, Greenwich Project (47 West 8th Street) will be whipping up some seafood specialties for your National Oyster Day delight.

Executive Chef Carmine di Giovanni will be twisting the standard raw bar butters, salts, and sauces by serving up options like his innovative mango chili sauce.

The best part, of course, is that the Greenwich Project's Gold Coast Steamers will be priced at just $1 this evening, while their Blue Whale Oysters will be priced at $2.75. From 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. tonight at the Greenwich Project, other select oysters will also be just one dollar as well.

So don't miss celebrating this awesome holiday with some delicious oysters. Text your friends about it right now. Serious, we mean it.
