Let's face it, emojis dominate our lives.
Whether you're hungry, sad, lonely or ecstatic, every New Yorker knows there's no better way to express our emotions than by using an emoji.
But what if emojis emerged from our smartphones and entered reality?
Brooklyn-based art director Brad Warsh decided to find out through is project "Emoji IRL."
In this project, he renders pictures of real life New York City superimposed with life-size emojis. And he did this project entirely with his iPhone.
"I did this project to show how seamless emojis have become in our world; how we use them every day without even really noticing anymore," Warsh said.
"I came across it by accident, when I was messing around with a photo-sharing app over a year ago. I put an overside sad-face emjoi over my friend's face, and it kind of took off from there."
Now, the project's gone viral.
