1. Char No. 4 (196 Smith Street - Brooklyn)
This Cobble Hill restaurant is well known for providing the hungry public with more than just drinks and fare.
Char No. 4 regularly hosts classes and tastings for alcohol aficionados, as well as foodie book release parties, signings, and basically any and all fine alcohol events can be found here.
But, their Bloody Marys. Served classically with a pickle and an added twist of thick-cut bacon, the Char No. 4 Bloody Mary is just as classy and flavorful as the food and the atmosphere.
2. Luckydog (303 Bedford Avenue - Brooklyn)
As the name suggests, Williamsburg’s Luckydog is a dog friendly dive bar with arcade games, a patio, and sinfully delicious booze.
If you’re able to tear yourself away from petting the furry-faced occupants for long enough, you’ll find that the Bloody Mary here is top-notch. It comes with quite a kick- a meaty formula with a fiery finish, it is a hidden gem among all of the craft beer and bar snacks.

Heralding a commitment to seasonal and locally grown ingredients, this Park Slope restaurant presents a charming, well-lit decor in which to gulp down the bloodiest of beverages.
Taking the delicate and delicious balance of ingredients, and the sacred recipe of this wondrous beverage into its own hands, Stone Park changes it up by replacing the traditional vodka with (gasp!) tequila.
Unorthodox, but being a rebel just tastes so good.
4. Sidecar (560 Fifth Avenue - Brooklyn)

Sidecar is famous for their amazing cocktails, and their acclaim is well-earned. Although their buttermilk fried chicken is not to be missed, what truly inspires us here is the Bloody Mary.
Cocktails are taken VERY seriously at Sidecar. It’s why this South Slope restaurant’s are so one of a kind, strong, and downright delicious. They don’t screw around with this soupy delight of a drink that is served spicy and in the company of great food.
As the sign (so rightly) says, “food and drink cures all pain.”

This famous fixture of cinema and high-powered meet-ups is home to much more than a fancy (but baller) mural and expensively dressed patrons. The St. Regis’s reputable King Cole Bar is in fact the birthplace of the Bloody Mary.
Presenting a classic take on its own invention, the Bloodies here are fresh and eye-opening.
Starting your morning in this historical bar with a glass full of their original recipe should be on everyone’s to-do/bucket list.
6. Prune (54 East 1st Street)

Even though the space is a bit tight in this East Village eatery, Prune’s Bloody Mary is more than worth waiting in line for.
The unique but completely satisfying brunch menu here is complimented by a Bloody that will pull at your tastebuds and make them pay attention.
Prune gives its breakfasters a wide assortment of options for their tomatoey-cocktail-goodness. The Bloody Bullshot swills beef bouillon among its ingredients, and the Caesar includes gin and clam juice in its rich concoction. And that is barely scratching the surface.

7. The Growler (55 Stone Street)
This comfortable little pub is found in the Financial District, and among its small-batch beers and bar fare, it touts a Bloody Mary that cannot be beat.

8. Mermaid Oyster Bar (79 Macdougal Street)
This Greenwich Village oyster bar is perhaps best known for their amazing oyster happy hour deal. In effect every Monday night and select hours the rest of the week, Mermaid serves up dollar oysters to accompany a list of delectable snacks and cocktails.
Queen among said cocktails is, of course, their Mermaid Mary. Spiked with a dose of Old Bay seasoning, it is the perfect companion to some seafood, appetizers, or an empty stomach and some good conversation.
