Over the last year, New York City has seen the emergence of two cat cafes. 

After the massive popularity of Purina ONE's public cat cafe, we saw the Lower East Side's Meow Parlor open up at 46 Hester Street. This has been no coincidence.

People have been pairing stranger cats and tea ever since, and it's sweet. Now, Purina's experts at integrating cats into human activities are at it again. 

These pussycat imagineers have now devised a summer day camp for cats. 

There are a multitude of feline-oriented activities, including cat-inspired yoga, cat sized tee-pees and even a faux-camp fire area where cat enthusiasts can chat with a veterinarian and cat behaviorist. 

The idea is to help the public understand and care for their cats in greater and more lasting ways.

A spokesperson from Purina ONE explains, “We’ve got some camp-themed activities here to really bring to life the elements that make up whole body health in cats, as well as simple cat insights to help you have a happy, healthy cat at home.” 

This camp is designed for people to come and play with cats, because they are soft, cute, sometimes friendly, and smarter than we'll ever realize.

To be clear, you don't bring your cat to this place; nope, it's not BYOC. It's kind of an open bar of cats. 

That being said, the free-range gatos available for play in the Cat Camp are available for adoption. So you could bring one of them home with you.
