Yup, by the end of this week, and before you even had the time to realize it, August is going to hit you right in the face.
The weather? Yeah, it's only going to keep getting hotter too.
So let's soak up those final July rays by getting down and dirty this week. And keep the party going, right up until August hits on Saturday.
Seriously, don't get down and out that you're not in the Hamptons, on a lake in Maine, or that you can't afford a vacation to Europe.

1. Martin Luther King Jr. Concert Series: Morris Day and The Time (600 Kingston Road - Brooklyn)
Don't let the Monday monster get you!
Fight back by having a blast at the Martin Luther King Jr. FREE Concert Series.
It's all going down on Monday Wingate Park, and will be hosted by Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams.
Morris Day and The Time will be rocking out from 7:30-11:00 p.m. You're encouraged to bring your own chairs, as seating is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.
It's sure to be a rocking event, so get there will you?
Tuesday, July 28th
2. Mad46 Summer Movie Nights: Sex and the City (Madison Avenue and 46th Street)
This summertime rooftop movie series on the 19th floor of the Roosevelt Hotel is off the chain. With $6 draft beer, $8 specialty wines, and $10 specialty cocktails, you'll have the chance to get crunk while the sun sets.
The movie night menu is $12, and includes delectable eats like flatbread pizza, kale & vegetable dumplings, and truffle popcorn.
If you're seated for movie night, you have to pay a $20 food and beverage minimum. Which we find extremely doable.
The movie seating area opens at 8 p.m. and the movie begins between 9 and 9:30. This week's movie is Sex and the City. Is there a more quintessential NYC flick? Well, maybe, but SATC is at least in the top ten.
Wednesday, July 29th
3. Northside presents SummerScreen: Dazed and Confused (North 12th Street and Bedford Avenue- Brooklyn)
SummerScreen, Brooklyn's free film and concert series, is free to the public on Wednesdays in July and August.
The series takes place in McCarren Park in Williamsburg, and is extremely dope. And not just because this week's movie is all about dope.
There are food vendors, live music, and at sundown, a free projected movie.
Could there be a better way to spend your Wednesday night than outside, reveling in summer dusk, eating good food and laughing at America's most famous on-screen potheads?
We didn't think so. Doors for this event open at 6 p.m.
Thursday, July 30th
4. Edible Manhattan: Good Beer (500 West 36th Street)

Hungry? Thirsty? Great. And even if you're not right now, you will be by the time you're finished reading about what's going down on Thursday. We promise.
This "thirsty Thursday," if you will, Edible Manhattan will be celebrating craft beer, good food, and summer fun.
We think these causes are extremely worthy of celebration.
This event aims to pair the best craft breweries with the city's most delicious food, made by the most talented chefs and food artisans.
Participants include Allagash Brewing Company, L&W Oyster Co., Jacob's Pickles, the Heartland Brewery, and many more. Check out the full list here.

5. AFROPUNK at Lincoln Center (Amsterdam Avenue and West 62nd Street)
Living in NYC, you probably listen to people talk way more than you want to. You probably hear way more blabbing than any human should have to hear.
And Fridays, you just need to unwind, right?
So why not spend this Friday evening listening and looking rather than listening to more people talk. This Friday LION BABE, The Skins, Vintage Trouble, will be a part of the art collection AFROPUNK titled The Triptych.
It will contain modern soul, rock, and R&B from Vintage Trouble, LION BABE'S sonic and stunning visuals, and outspoken and visual artists from our time.
It's going to be amazing, transformative, and euphoric. It's exactly what you need to rock your Friday. It begins at 7 p.m. at Damrosch Park and it's free which, as we all know, completely rocks.
Saturday, August 1st
6. Summer Streets Festival on Park Avenue
This amazing event stretches from Brooklyn Bridge to Central Park, along Park Avenue.
And it will have a waterslide. And a zip-line.
Summer Streets is NYC's annual celebration of the most valuable space in NYC - the streets. in order to celebrate our invaluable streets, nearly seven miles of the streets are blocked off to cars and buses and opened up for the public to play, run, walk, and bike.
It's going to be amazing, and it will be going down between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. So grab your rollerblades, your scooter, your bathing suit and your friends, and head to Park Avenue this Saturday to celebrate NYC's streets.

7. The Chardonnay Run (Pier 26)

Love running and wine? Perfect! With the Chardonnay Run, you get to race and then taste.
There Chardonnay Run is a national 5K wine racing series, and looks to serve up fun, wine, and cheese. This weekend, they'll be doing just that in NYC, and you can be a part of it.
The Chardonnay Run also includes live music, food trucks and vendors, and the encouragement to bring your own chairs and kick back and relax after the race.
So if you want to get your endorphins on before you get your buzz on, and feel like you truly earned your Saturday relaxation, the Chardonnay Run is where you should be this weekend.

It's not too late to see a concert with Central Park Summerstage, and we know that's the best news you've heard all day.
This free, amazing, gigantic concert series will keep rocking on this weekend with Sunday's performance by Nação Zumbi and Nation Beat’s Carnival Caravan, in association with Brasil Summerfest.
Nation Beat's Carnival Caravan will feature Cha Wa and DJ sets by Vinil Pompéia, and it's all going down at Rumsey Playfield at 2 p.m. Make sure you check it out.
