We know, we know. This summer is going way faster than we want it to also. But we don't think it's ever too late to make the most out of it.
This week is bursting at the seams with popping events. From our party on Wednesday with HouseTab at Local West to Art off The Wall at the Brooklyn Museum on Thursday, we promise there's a ton going on to make the most out of what's left inJuly.
So if you're wondering what you and your friends should get into this week, read on.
Monday, July 20th
1. Coney Island Flicks on The Beach
inhaeesther Movie night at Coney Island #coneyisland #coneyislandmovienight #grandbudapesthotel #moviedate
At 7:30 p.m. on Monday, The Goonies will feature as a part of New York City's most awesome summer movie series. As in, you get to kick back on the beach, your feet in the sand and your face toward the ocean, and watch a movie on an inflatable floating screen.
Which sounds like a pretty quintessential "summertime and the weather's fine" activity to us.
Grab your pals and make sure you hit up this movie series before it ends.
Tuesday, July 21st
2. Celebrate Brooklyn! Benefit Concert (9th Street and Prospect Park West)
What screams summer louder than free concerts in Prospect Park?
If the rockstar in you is looking for some release, hit up the Interpol concert at the Prospect Park Bandshell at 7 p.m. on Tuesday and jam all night.
Interpol are the "kings of the millennial post-punk revival," according to Allmusic. Their new album El Pintor is out and hot, and Interpol is returning home to rock the Prospect Park Bandshell.
They'll be playing with Cosmicide, and the gates open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $35. Get 'em here.
Wednesday, July 22nd
3. Summer Soiree Rooftop Happy Hour (1 Penn Plaza)
We're at it again on Wednesday, when we'll be throwing an off-the-chain summer bash with HouseTab.
And we mean it. This party will be a serious banger, and we are not messing around. The party is summer-themed, and will be jam packed with swag, drink specials, and games.
What drink specials will we have, you might be wondering? Well, they are as follows. And, they last all night long. $5 Jim Beams, $5 Margaritas, $4 Coors Light Aluminum oversized bottles, and $7 Cosmos.
And just when you thought this party couldn't get any better, check this: when you download HouseTab (this dope app where you can send your friends drinks), the first round's on us.
