Last week, a bag of air appeared on eBay's marketplace. You heard us right. A. Bag. Of. Air.

So, our first thought would be, who would buy a bag of air, right?

But, no. The bag of air was on auction for $20,000, under the title "Air from Williamsburg, Brooklyn! HIP COOL BROOKLYN LENA DUNHAM 11211."

The listing also promised that the air "could've come from anywhere. Perhaps it was circulated at our trendiest bars and brunch spots like Enid's or the Wythe Hotel. Or maybe it spent some time on the set of Lena Dunham's hit HBO show, Girls.

We think this listing is hilarious, and we do have to give props to Vice's music editor Dan Ozzi, who recently outed himself as one selling the bag of air.

But to Ozzi's credit, he never expected the listing to go so high.

He started the bidding at $39.99, which he "thought was a steal, given how hot Williamsburg real estate is right now."

People asked Ozzi questions like "Can I vape the air?" Ozzi responded, "Yes, you can vape it with the vape paraphernalia from our many organic, farm-fresh vape stores." 

Someone asked Ozzi, "Are there any side effects?" And Ozzi responded "Only looking very cool!"

A bidding war broke out over eBay, and within three days the post collected 41 bids. The top bid was for $20,100. 

Unfortunately, eBay caught wind of the post just this week, and suspended Ozzi's account. Ozzi stated that eBay "did not provide a reason."

Our take on this is as follows. Dan Ozzi, you're hilarious. And eBay bidders, you can definitely afford a first-class flight to Williamsburg and digs in a very hip hotel that would still cost less than this zip-locked bag of air. 

So, please. Can we all start being a little bit more reasonable?
