In case you've been living under a rock, this past weekend was Pride Parade in New York City.

Thousands of people-- dressed in rainbow garb-- jubilantly stormed down 5th Avenue and thousands more lined the streets to cheer on paraders.

It was a weekend bursting at the seams with love, hope, and gratitude. Lots of people were even crying tears of joy at the sudden lightning bolt of equality that struck America in the wake of the Supreme Court decision.

As of last Friday, gay marriage is now decreed legal in the United States of America by the Supreme Court, flourished by the words of plaintiff Jim Obergefell, who made this all happen.

He said this past Friday's ruling "affirms what millions across this country already know to be true in their hearts: our love is equal."

At Sunday's parade, everyone was having so much fun that one NYPD officer even joined in on the dancing.

This is a drastic difference from the scene 46 years ago, in 1969, when a gay woman was beaten in the streets outside of Stonewall Inn by a cop, don't you think?
