If you've been living under a rock since Friday, newsflash: Pride is going down this weekend. You ready?
Today is 46th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots and hence, the New York City Pride Parade.
Plenty of cities across the nation have thrown Pride parades and celebratory events throughout June. But NYC's Pride March will cap it all off-- since NYC's Stonewall Inn, now officially a city landmark, is where the gay rights movement started and all.
America's gained traction in the gay rights movement throughout the last decade. As of Friday, gay marriage is now legal nationwide, which is way, way better than how things were way back in 1969-- when a woman was beaten in the streets by a cop (for being gay) outside Stonewall Inn.

So today, as you're pounding beers and celebrating love, it's important to remember the brave people who came before us and made it all possible.
