We hope you’re practicing your Vogue moves and readying that boa for prime time, because Pride Week is well underway. Here are some of the can’t-miss events to get your social calendar started.
Harlem’s own Pride Week doesn’t kick off-- it sails, with Pride Ride: Rockin’ the Rivers on June 26 at 9 p.m. from Pier 83. DJs Missy B and Stormin Norman get the Hudson River riled up on this Circle Line cruise, with food included in the $50 ticket price.

The Pride Kickoff Rally mixes serious takes on Pride themes with comedians-- this year’s host is Tituss Burgess (“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”)-- big-name performers (Ashanti will open the event) and, of course, a whole lot of glitter. The rally returns to Pier 26 on June 26 at 7 p.m.
We’re not sure why it took so long, but NYC Pride is finally debuting an official Friday night party withFantasy: A Burlesque Masquerade on June 26, set in the only space that could do it justice: the Diamond Horseshoe.
There will be plenty of massive dance parties during the week, but Hudson Terrace’s VIP Rooftop Party on June 27 will have all the music, just less of the crowds.
Pride’s two ladies-only events take place June 27, beginning at 5 p.m. with the New York City Dyke March. Don’t expect floats or elaborate costumes, as this is a demonstration for women’s rights rather than a parade, and all women are welcome to take part.

After the event, it’s time for the ladies-only dance party Teaze on Pier 26, with DJ sets by Sherock and Whitney Day, then on to the after-after party, Pier Pressure, at Slate.
Whether you’re marching, or one of the million or so people watching, NYC Pride March is the only way to spend the last afternoon of Pride Week.
After the parade, the party people will be heading to Dance on the Pier at Pier 26, where the music starts at 3 p.m. with headliner Ariana Grande and DJs Wayne G, The Cube Guys and Ralphi Rosario.
But if you’ve had enough sun, or want to catch Darren Criss on Broadway before he hands over the glitter eyeshadow to Taye Diggs next month, we bet the special late show of “Hedwig and the Angry Inch” at 7 p.m. will be one to remember.
