Did you ever have police action figures when you were little? We all had at least one or two, but they definitely didn't look or act like your "typical" New York Police Department officers, right?
While your toy cops were busy chasing down robbers and protecting your imaginary city all those years ago, NYPD cops have been getting a bad rep as of late in this city.
Of course, not all policemen harass citizens of low-income neighborhoods or racially profile.
A lot of NYPD cops are good people, and they do a really great job of protecting this city and saving New Yorkers. Every single day.
So this hilarious (yet dark) parody from the folks over at Above Average accounts for all of that, by providing two models of police action figures: the good cop and the bad cop. (P.S., they look stunningly realistic as well.)
So what's the difference between these action figures?
Good cop action figures protect protestors, wear body cameras, and de-escalate situations.
Bad cop action figures lie under oath, use excessive force, and racially profile. Bad cop action figures also have a versatile hip joint, so they can "shoot first and ask questions never."
This video is meant to be taken as a joke, and you're definitely going to find yourself laughing out loud at some of its one-liners. Let us know what you think of it all in the comments below.
