Hey orchestra lovers, we have some amazing news for this week and next.

Celebrating its 50th year of free summertime performances in New York City parks, The New York Philharmonic will continue their splendid tradition of offering free concerts in Central Park this week and more elsewhere the following week.

The Philharmonic will play in Prospect Park next Friday night, Cunningham Park in Queens on June 22nd, the Bronx's Van Cortlandt Park on June 23rd, and will wrap up this year's series with an indoor concert at the Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden in Staten Island on Wednesday, June 24th.

All these performances are free. If that's not exciting enough, there's more. All these performances conclude with fireworks. We know, amazing right?

We have a word to the wise, however. This is an extremely popular event, so you need to arrive early if you want to be even remotely within a stone's throw of the stage.
