Bring on Those Drunk Munchies: 5 Delicious Diners Open 24/7 to Satisfy Your Drunchies in NYC

As New Yorkers, we know what it’s like to come home in the early morning with a hankerin' for food.

Too often though, we make the trek home, our bellies still horribly unsatisfied, unsure of what the heck is even open at 3 a.m.

Because let’s face it: at the crack of dawn, what could better nurse the beginning of that oh-so-ugly hangover than an amazing meal from a New York City diner?

So here you have 'em: 5 delicious diners open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, serving up all the classic fried, cheesy, sweet, syrupy fare your stomach undoubtedly craves.

1. Kellogg's (518 Metropolitan Avenue - Brooklyn)

urbanadventures Here's a little inspo for this month's #UAmission - red, white, and blue! @nycurbanadventures showed us their #truecolours with this classic family diner. Remember you have until the end of July to submit your red, white, and blues or any combination of the three - so get snapping, tag #UAmission and you could win a free UA tour anywhere in the world!

Mozzarella sticks. Need we say more? The sticks at Kellogg’s stole our heart, and they will steal yours, too. (Kellogg’s also has a live lobster tank, for whatever that’s worth.)

But, most importantly, when it comes to late-night burgers and fries, Kellogg’s does not disappoint.

This Williamsburg staple is always bustling, serving up killer pancakes, eggs benny, turkey clubs, pies and shakes (and much, much more) at every hour of the day.

It’s also no stranger to ambling, tipsy hipsters in the early morning hours. Its neon storefront and retro patent booths definitely make for a fun throwback to cap off your night.

2. Morning Star Cafe (949 2nd Avenue)

thelatvianfoodie I'm back home in Toronto and I am missing the #ricepudding @MorningStarOn2 soooooo bad right now... #yummy #foodie #foodporn #latergram #dessert #nomnom #diner #comfortfood #nyceats #nyc #morningstarcafenyc

This little hole-in-the-wall diner is pretty darn sweet (with an equally sweet accompanying Facebook page to prove it).

It serves just about as classic American diner grub as you'll find (also known as perfect hangover food, as New Yorkers have all come to understand).

Its menu even offers a selection of healthy (erm, healthier) options, but, who are we even kidding?

The waffles and curly fries are where it’s really at. Morning Star is reasonably priced and perfect for chillin' when the sun comes up.

3. Scotty’s (336 Lexington Avenue)

don_pelleone Frukosthaket! Grymma pannkakor och supergod latte. #scottysdiner #nyc #lexingtonave

Scotty’s reviews and ratings online don't lie— it’s really, truly that good. Located on Lexington in Murray Hill, Scotty’s is aplenty with your classic diner fare. Plus, there’s authentic Greek food.

Pretty much any food for literally any tastebud or preference. It’s there. On the menu. A huge menu. Check it out. Seriously.

24-hour breakfast is not a joke, nor is it for the faint of heart. Oh, and did I mention free delivery, you lazy night owl you?

4. Sugar Cafe (200 Allen Street)

helen.ngai Corner bistro - perfect spot for catching up, taking a load off @sugarcafenyc #ny #nyc #lowereastside #sugarcafe #cafe #bakery #sugar #eatsandtreats #sweets #1stavenue #houstonstreet #24_7

This diner is pretty much as adorable as its name (due mostly to its incredible pastry display case... yum).

Perhaps the hippest of its kind, this 24/7 diner showcases local artwork and a sleek decor.

This place is the ultimate destination for late night sugar cravings, and it doesn’t discriminate against savory cravings either (um hi, killer sandwich menu).

5. Good Stuff Diner (109 West 14th Street)

thisisgeorgethen Had some good stuff at #goodstuffdiner #diner #pancakes #14thstreet #nyc #newyorkcity #aveoftheamericas

Located smack dab in the middle of West Village, it has a very stylish and retro interior.

Not only does Good Stuff Diner serve tons and tons of good eats, but it also has a real life soda fountain, serves up huge portions (hi, french fries), and it even has a full bar-- you know, just in case you need another drink.

Also: 24-hour delivery. A definite must-have.
