Ever wanted to walk across the New York City skyline? In August 1974, so did Philippe Petit.
That's the year he triumphed in a conquest that no one ever did before (or would ever do again, for that matter): he stretched a cable between the Twin Towers, 1,350 feet above the ground, and then walked across it using a balancing pole. Using just a balancing pole.
Have you ever wanted to be so daring, vagrant, and brave? Now you can. (Well, sort of.)
The Walk hits theaters October 2nd, as Joseph Gordon-Levitt undertakes the role of Philippe Petit performing his famed, treacherous walk.
The trailer recently made its online debut and start getting excited about the film-- because after watching these two minutes and forty seconds, we definitely are.
