Today, Artificial Intelligence is being used to help make the world a better place, from researching various diseases to human behavior.
However, one researcher at Google is now using this technology for something a little less serious: your #foodporn intake.
That's right, you'll soon be able to determine the calorie count of any food based on a simple photo.
A scientist who specializes in algorithms has developed a tool that will "be capable of counting the number of calories in every item on a person’s plate simply by examining a photo" called Im2Calories.
Oddly enough, the app doesn't require high resolution, so you can upload any picture your lil' stomach desires.
At this point, this is all just speculation with no firm product plans. Eventually though-- knowing Google-- someone or something will eventually be counting all of those absurd amount of calories.
And although it sounds to us like your waistline will eventually end up thanking Google for this one, your taste buds will definitely not.
