Just this week, Brooklyn Barge Bar (Greenpoint’s floating hangout with water-based activities as well), received its full liquor license.
According to co-owner Will Drawbridge, the team is “very excited and extremely grateful for the result.”
Drawbridge also stated, "We'd like to take full credit for this, but it was really the amazing letters of support from our partners and the community that made this happen."
Not only will the Brooklyn Barge Bar both a bar & restaurant, but it promises to offer free activities such as fishing, sailing, and kayaking to the entire community.
There will be a full bar, but the options will be simple, with local beers and spirits. The food menu will contain the likes of salads, burgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, and fries.
Though it's not yet set in stone, the team is now working towards an opening date in June.
Get ready, Greenpoint!
