We know what you're thinking, "I can't believe that I didn't go away for Memorial Day Weekend."

Fret not, you can still make this summer a memorable one. Here are 6 hotspots opening just in time for summer in New York City.

A lil' party never killed nobody, right?

1. Grand Banks (Pier 25 - Tribeca)

The floating oyster bar of your Hamptons dreams is re-opening on Friday, May 23rd at Pier 25 in Tribeca.

The team has added chef Kerry Heffernan (Eleven Madison Park), who’s adding menu items like a lobster roll, swordfish confit and poached oysters-- in addition to the raw bar.

Also new: brunch beginning at 11 a.m. on the weekends, nightly service ending at midnight, an expanded cocktail menu, and Stumptown cold brew on tap.

2. The Black Rose (117 Avenue A - Alphabet City)

This throwback rock ‘n’ roll bar is all about the grittier era of Manhattan’s East Village.

Chill out in one of the red banquettes in your cutoffs, band T-shirts and so much eyeliner it’s an accessory in multiple rooms decorated in recycled elements and vintage posters. Or take your craft brews and cocktails to the backyard.

Expect acoustic performers, theme nights (disco, anyone?), and a food menu all coming soon.

3. The Jane Rooftop (113 Jane Street - West Village)

Just this week, the reservation-only lounge on top of The Jane Hotel begins welcoming walk-ins for the first time.

Also new for the Hudson riverfront venue is a full menu by in-house Café Gitane and wholly new cocktails, including the made-for-summer "Little White Lie" (Farmer’s gin, Lillet White, apricot brandy and lemon).

Enjoy it all, surrounded by the same faded Bohemian splendor as the rest of the hotel.

4. Tico’s Tequila Bar (151 Essex Street - Lower East Side)

This is the place to be for any fan of mezcal, tequila and rare Mexican liquors.

There will also be room to move, with DJs spinning most nights, and a menu of bar bites from the upstairs kitchen until 2 a.m.

Sip your drink while contemplating the mural by Madrid-based artist Remed, known for his massive outdoor works in Mexico City, Morocco and beyond.

5. New York Botanical Garden (2900 Southern Blvd. - the Bronx)

Saturday, May 23rd is the opening of the garden’s latest exhibition, "Frida Kahlo: Art, Garden, Life”; the first time this artist’s work has been exhibited in the city in over a decade.

Digest all you’ve seen over a special prix-fixe menu inspired by Kahlo’s life and artwork at the recently opened Hudson Garden Grill, the first full-service restaurant on the grounds of the gardens.

Also on hand until the show closes in November is a taco truck and the outdoor pop-up La Cantina, where you can get a michelada while listening to mariachi music. Visit on special Frida Al Fresco Evenings for live music and performances until 9:30 p.m.

 6. The Fillmore Room (146 10th Avenue - West Chelsea)

After a two-week soft opening, The Fillmore Room made it official last week.

Within the Art Deco interior is an all-American restaurant and bar, with fare like a burger with bacon marmalade, a Caesar salad made with kale and Brussels sprouts, salt-and-pepper sweetbreads and gingerbread French toast at brunch.
