Coming this weekend, there's a beautiful photo-op that only happens twice a year on two consecutive days: Manhattanhenge (yes, it's a reference to Stonehenge), a glorious phenomenon of the sun's impeccable alignment with Manhattan's city grid.

On Friday, May 29th and Saturday, May 30th at 8:12 p.m., the sun will set right in between Midtown Manhattan's skyscrapers.
According to Neil deGrasse Tyson and the Museum of Natural History, the best place to witness the "radiant glow of light across Manhattan's brick and steel canyons" is as far east in Manhattan as possible.
But make sure when you look west across the Avenues, you can still see New Jersey. Neil deGrasse Tyson says the best cross-streets for a clear view of the sunset are 14th, 23rd, 34th, 42nd, and 57th Streets.
If you do miss this weekend's Manhattanhenge, don't panic. There will be another stunning sunset on July 12th and 13th at 8:20 p.m.
