Driving in New York City obviously sucks, right?
That's why nobody in their right mind who lives here does it.
That’s also why they invented the subway and buses and all other forms of public transportation.
Well, that’s probably not why they invented public transportation, but you get what we mean.
Anyway, here are the 5 worst types of drivers you're guaranteed to encounter in NYC.
1. Drivers with oversized trucks
vely86 And this is why it's hard to have nice things in NY... I can only imagine how pissed the owner is going to be!! And it wasn't even a tight parking spot!!! #NYCDriving #StreetParkingProblems 🚙🚗
We all know why you bought that car, dude. It’s a cliché for us to even allude to it.
But, for all the oversized truck dudes out there, we just think you should know that the entire free world is on to you.
2. Drivers who are afraid to merge
k_0 So how do you manage to get into a single lane with already 2 vehicles? Ask our driver. 😁😓 #NYC #NewYorkCity #NYCdriving #aggressivedriving #youcantbenice #iwouldntgetanywhere
We know that Bret Easton Ellis was talking about Los Angeles, but we think this still applies.
When driving through NYC, you just got to have the attitude of Jaguar Paw from Apocalypto. “This is my jungle and you should not have come here.”
Anyone who doesn’t have that attitude should’ve taken a Greyhound.
3. Drivers from Connecticut

When you snipe someone with an out-of-state plate in front of you, you know you’re in trouble. This is a particularly bad situation if that plate is from Connecticut.
Connecticut drivers are some of the worst drivers north of the Mason-Dixon Line.
4. Old men drivers who wear hats
If an old man walks into the DMV rocking an old school flat cap, then his license should be immediately revoked.
Who's with me on this one?
5. Rich daughter driver
Call me a misogynist. Call me a pig, but you know this is true.
Back in college, this girl drove me to the Outer Banks in her dad’s Beemer. It was like an 8 hour ride and she wouldn’t let me drive.
That was my D-Day.
Actually, it was more like my Alamo. There were no survivors.
