Some might say that if you're looking for anything in the world, go to New York City. Plain and simple. New York has it all, no matter what it is or where it came from.
Except that's is not entirely true. NYC has a ton of good stuff, sometimes things that we wouldn't even expect to find at all here in the U.S. of A.
Cultural cuisine is at an all-time high always, and that's great, but there are some other glorious things from other parts of the good ol' United States that are totally lacking here.
We love you New York, and we are truly grateful for all that you provide us with on a daily basis.
That is why we petition you to take a look at this wish list and bring these 15 glorious things to the Big Apple.
1. Bobby's Burger Palace

2. In-N-Out Burger
Okay, well this is a dead obvious here. How long have we all wanted NYC to get an In-N-Out Burger for, anyway?
It seems like centuries.
3. Palm trees

Could you imagine what life would be like in NYC if the streets were lined with palm trees like they are in Cali and Florida?
All that more fabulous, obviously.
4. Warm weather, year-round
In order to get those palm trees lining the streets, we need it to be at least 70 degrees and sunny here three hundred and sixty five days a year.
Gotta start small, right?
5. Mary Lou's Coffee

A friend of mine once proclaimed that this New England coffee chain is like the Hooters of coffee chains.
With a pretty-in-pink theme and fun, sweet coffee drinks, she's got a point.
If you were to try one Minty Lou (an iced mint, chocolate, coffee, and whipped cream topped beverage), you'd be on board with this idea.
6. Boise Fry Company

People who underestimate the potential that fries have to be full meals by themselves haven't lived before. After all, at Boise Fry Company, the burgers are sides!
There's a reason why Idaho rhymes with potato, and it is probably because of Boise Fry Company, the pioneer of making new french fries out of every kind of potato possible (even funky bluish-purple potato fries exist because of Boise Fry Company).
So put that in your blueberry ketchup and dip it... and then maybe consider opening up one here in NYC.
7. Quickie marriages
How fantastic would it be if New York was the East Coast hub of spontaneous marriages like Vegas is for the West Coast?

New York is totally romantic and whirlwind for some. And getting married by a Frank Sinatra impersonator (in place of Elvis) is bound to be a story for the ages.
8. Taylor Ham
Just once, I'd like to go to breakfast in a diner in NYC and order ham with my eggs and have it be Taylor ham.
Technically, all you really need to do to get Taylor ham (aka pork roll but ew please don't ever call it that) is hop on an NJ Transit bus or train to Jersey.
But the fact that NYC is so close to New Jersey means that it should be more likely to have it! Taylor ham, egg, and cheese >>>>>>> bacon, egg, and cheese. (Sorry bacon, I still care about you.)
,9. Churro ice cream sandwiches
NYC is sooooo big on the hybrid foods-- and also on cookie ice cream sandwiches. Which is why we should have churro ice cream sandwiches by now.

This started out in Los Angeles, and it's basically two cinnamon-sugared churros sandwiching a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream. Get cracking on this one, NYC!
10. Wawa
NYC has 711, but I don't care, because 711 has absolutely NOTHING on Wawa. If you think that there is even a possible comparison, you're sorely mistaken.
Wawa is more than just a gas station and convenience store. It has heroes made-to-order, baller lemonade iced tea, and just about every other snack under the sun.
11. Voodoo Donuts

NYC definitely has some great donut shops, like Dough and Doughnut Plant, but who's to say you can ever have too many donuts?
Voodoo Doughnuts is famous out on the West Coast for its donuts that are a weird, but great combination of hilarious and delicious. Plus, maple bacon donuts are genius.
12. Half smokes

A half smoke is a large, meaty, and slightly spicy rendition on the hot dog, and it's a local staple in Washington D.C.

14. Chicago style hot dogs
renee_maree The #chicagohotdog from #portillos. The #Chicago rule is NO ketchup and lots of chillies and pickles. I don't know what's in that cheese sauce, tastes so good but I'm pretty sure it's full of chemicals and could glow in the dark!
New York does hot dogs really well.

But there's something special about those split-top dogs on a poppy seed bun covered in pickles, relish, and mustard, but never ketchup.
15. Outdoor Malls
A string of three or four stores on 5th Avenue does not count. Outdoor malls are seriously the sh*t.
Shops outside, restaurants with sidewalk seating, and uninterrupted space are amongst the best outdoor malls have to offer, therefore New York should get one, like, yesterday.
