Today's the Day: Shake Shack's Chicken Sandwich Is Back in Brooklyn (And All Is Right With the World Again)

The ChickenShack's come home to roost: it's back cookin' in all Brooklyn Shacks today, Thursday July 16th!

That's right, their crispy all-natural and antibiotic-free chicken breast with lettuce, pickles and buttermilk herb mayo is back. Remember, it's only at the Downtown Brooklyn, DUMBO and Flatbush Ave Shack locations.

Update 7/9/15, 10:52

And just like that, they were gone. Just one day after debuting their ChickenShack sandwich in just three Brooklyn locations, they're gone-- until Thursday July 16th, that is.

Let's hope that when they do return next week, they're back for good-- and citywide, too.

Puhhhhh-lease, Mr. Meyer?

Update 7/7/15, 10:52 a.m.

Do you love Shake Shack as an entity, but prefer chicken sandwiches to burgers? Are you often confused about what to order when you do hit up a Shake Shack because of that?

Well, to all chicken sandwich lovers with an affinity for Shake Shack, you can all start cheering now.

Starting today, you can get a chicken sandwich, cleverly titled "ChickenShack," at Shake Shack's three Brooklyn locations: 409 Fulton Street, 1 Old Fulton Street, and 170 Flatbush Avenue.

The chicken sandwich costs $6.29, a pretty reasonable price since the "Shake Stack" costs a whopping $8.85.

So go get 'em. Like now.

5/18/15, 9:39 p.m.

Attention all New Yorkers who work in the Flatiron District: your prayers have finally been answered.

After closing in October 2014 for massive renovations, the original Shake Shack location in Madison Square Park is set to finally reopen on Wednesday, May 20th at 11 a.m.

And if it's one thing owner Danny Meyer knows how to do, it's throw a blowout party-- complete with the unveiling of a new location-exclusive burger and beer (of course, right?).

The ParkBurger will be incredibly topped with cave-aged, raw cow’s milk cheese sauce and applewood smoked bacon.

If you want to wash down all of that deliciousness with a refreshing beer, you can try their brand spankin' new lager in collaboration with Brooklyn Brewery, the Shack Phoenix.

So what else, you might ask? How about a live performance by the Brooklyn United Marching Band and replica models of the new MSQ Park location up for sale as well (P.S., rumor has it the first 100 people in line will get one for free).

So we'll see you in line for lunch... say Wednesday around 10:30 a.m.? ;-)
