Maybe we're being a little dramatic, but if you grew up in New York City (or even moved here), The New York Times thinks you are never, ever getting married. That's never. Ever.

This goes for not only NYC, but pretty much every liberal bastion that resides in this morbidly single nation. San Francisco? Yup. Chicago? Double yup.

So that's it, folks. It might be time to just give up. Buy some ice cream, get a cat, and stop shaving altogether. Might be about that time to simply close up shop, eh? The New York Times writes:

"Spending childhood nearly anywhere in blue America-- especially liberal bastions like New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Boston and Washington-- makes people about 10 percentage points less likely to marry relative to the rest of the country."

The New York Times also reports, "Children who grow in New York, among other places, appear less likely to be married by 26, less likely to be married by 30 and probably less likely to marry at any point."

This all just sounds downright depressing now, doesn't it?
