Brace Yourselves, NYC: Smorgasburg Will Invade Manhattan, Coney Island, and Now... Queens!

Take about a takeover!

In what's been a flurry of expansion announcements over the past few weeks for the Brooklyn-born-and-bred Smorgasburg, today's is perhaps the most exciting yet, as it once again brings the fifth largest city in the country (right behind Brooklyn) to the forefront of all New Yorkers' minds: Queens!

"We've been eating our way through Queens for the last few months, and thinking about our dream market there for almost a year now," Brooklyn Flea co-founder Eric Demby said.

"And then we realized: the most amazing, exotic ethnic food, the most interesting stories and characters... were literally right next door."

Beginning every Saturday starting July 11th (from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.) in a massive outdoor lot/indoor building right in the heart of Long Island City, a ton of exotic and ethnic food vendors will pack a huge outdoor lot/indoor building.

Mind you, this massive news for Queens follows earlier announcements about their retuned Central Park residency this month, their new location opening in Coney Island starting Memorial Day,  and yet another brand new location in the South Street Seaport starting May 21.

We know, our waistlines are busting at the seams just thinking about all of these outdoor summer food festivals... you guys didn't cancel that gym membership yet, did you?
