Why Just Drink on a NYC Rooftop-- When You Can Eat, Booze, and Watch a Movie?

Not looking forward to the outdoor movie madness that ensues at Bryant Park each and every summer? Neither are we.

Rooftop Film Club, the masters of London's outdoor movie viewings, are finally bringing their infamous summer screening series to the roofs of Manhattan, and the good folks over at TimeOut NY have officially announced the details of their first summer in New York City.

The Film Club will officially call the terrace at Midtown's fancy YOTEL home, which is just over-the-top wonderful (as it takes full advantage of the most infamous skyline in the entire world, duh).

So what are all the details?

Well, if their entire summer run is anything like June's lineup, New Yorkers are in for one hell of a treat because there are 15 movies officially lined up for the first month (and they are promising much of the same for July and August). Check the full film list here.

Also, doors open at 6 p.m. each night, films start between 8:30 p.m. and 8:45 p.m., and headphones and blankets will be on offer to anyone who wants them.

The first batch of tickets is on sale now here and general admission will run you $15, while $25 gets you a seat plus some food and drink.

And yes, you're right. This is shaping up to be one hell of a summer in NYC!
