We're finally into April and even though it doesn't feel much like spring just yet, we know that we're one step closer to that warm weather we've been yearning for so badly.
I mean really, how could you not want to know what our awesome city has in store for us this month?!
Especially knowing that our most exciting events and festivals are finally moving outdoors, New York City and its 8 million plus inhabitants are primed and ready. So here they are, the 8 absolute must-do events in NYC this April.
The Bacon and Beer Classic will be held inside the home of the New York Mets, Citi Field, on Saturday April 25th.

This premier experience focuses on where the nostalgia of baseball meets a love for bacon and beer. As you walk through Citi Field, you'll get a taste of history through hundreds of craft brew samples and mouth-watering bacon-inspired snacks local restaurants cook up.
There will be music to get you dancing, interactive games to bring out your inner child, and cooking demos and beer schools to teach all levels a thing or two about bacon and beer.

2. New York International Auto Show
Attention: calling all car enthusiasts to the Javits Center! If you didn't already know, the NY International Auto Show opens its doors on Friday April 3rd right through Sunday April 12th.
If cars are your thing, this is the best way to check out the hottest whips all under one roof. The tickets start at $7 for children and $16 for adults; you can check out more information here.
3. Easter Day Parade and Bonnet Festival

A day filled with pastels, festive hats, and crazy costumes wouldn't be the same if not in New York City, am I right? Thousands of marchers will gather near St. Patrick's Cathedral on Sunday, April 5th for NYC's Annual Easter Day Parade and Bonnet Festival.

The march begins at 10 a.m. and lasts until 4 p.m., right along 5th Avenue from 49th to 57th Streets. With colorful ensembles and extravagant headwear that will give the Mad Hatter himself a run for his money, this is one spectacular event you can't really miss.
4. NCAA Final Four
So this event isn't actually taking place in New York City and your bracket has most likely been demolished by now, but that shouldn't stop you from getting together with friends at your favorite college basketball bar in NYC during the first weekend in April.
If your teams aren't in the running anymore, you can at least stuff your face with chicken wings and sliders, and then chase it all down with a cold one.
Because if there's one thing New York sports fans have learned how to do best lately, it's how to the best out of a seriously crappy sports situation.

I mean really, being able to choose foods from your favorite NYC vendors all in one spot is an absolute treasure. Add being able to hang out on the Williamsburg waterfront while enjoying all of those delicious culinary creations, and it's bound to become even more magical.
6. 10th Annual New York City Pillow Fight
New York just never fails to please. Washington Square Park is holding its 10th Annual NYC Pillow Fight on Saturday April 4th.
Yes, this is actually happening and no, this isn't a late April Fool's joke. So for all you big-kid New Yorkers who miss those childhood days filled with pillow fights, come in your best set of PJs and prepare to battle (playfully, that is).
7. Tribeca Film Festival
Starting April 15th through 26th, Robert DeNiro's Tribeca Film Festival is back to show New York City the best of indie films, foreign films, and documentaries from the hottest and newest filmmakers.
This is an event definitely worth attending, especially for all NYC film buffs/lovers. Check out more information here.
8. Mad Men at the Museum of Moving Image
In honor of AMC's Mad Men final season premiering this April, it's more than the appropriate time to head to Matthew Weiner's Mad Men at the Museum of Moving Image in Astoria, Queens.

The exhibit will blow any Mad Men lover's mind, as it gives New Yorkers a glimpse inside the complete creative process, from pages of the script to props and costumes and even two full-scale sets. Yes, you can actually stand inside Don Draper's office and finally peek inside Betty's kitchen.
