Every and any day in New York City overflows with energy, opportunities, and something I like to call “NYC moments.”
The moments I'm referring to are something only New Yorkers can comprehend, like the moment we get overwhelming sympathy for a friend who's looking for a new apartment/room to rent.
Or the moment we accept an invite to a house party, only to later realize it's in another borough... cue the dramatic eye roll of annoyance. Here is a list of those sort of NYC moments with the man who undoubtedly has the best “resting b*tch face” to date, Mr Kanye West.
1. The smell of New York City in the summer

2. When someone mistakenly takes your drink at Starbucks
3. When the “clipboard people” try stopping you in the middle of the street
4.When the tourist at the subway turnstile swipes their MetroCard more than 4 times in a row
5. When last night was mad real... but you realize you forgot to take your sunglasses and Advil
6. When New York City prepares for the “biggest snowstorm in history.” And then it only snows 3,5 inches
7. When NYC is going through the winter apocalypse and Uber parks a block away. Just to watch you walk in it.
8. When you see people you know from nightlife during the day. And it's really awkward and totally terrible.
9. When that one person (usually a tourist) stops in front of you in the middle of the sidewalk.
10. When you're in an overcrowded subway car during rush hour and someone right next to you farts
11. When the server at Chipotle gives you chicken instead of steak
12. When you finish a three course meal and find out you're in a cash-only restaurant

13. When you're on the subway and you hear, “It's showtime!”

15. When you're describing the size of a dollar slice for the first time
16. When you upstream someone's cab while it's pouring rain. Bye Felicia!
17. When the doorman at Marquee lets your friends in, but refuses you
18. When you rush to get a free seat on the subway, only to realize it's not taken for a good reason
19. When you realize the Knicks don't really have a chance
20. When a cab driver creeps into your walking space, as you cross the street
21. When your family visits town and makes you take tourist pictures with them
