Summer's About to Be So Lit: 15 Absolutely Can't-Miss Events Going Down in NYC This June

Okay, we're officially getting super antsy for summer.

With all the concert announcements and outdoor events going on lately, we're ready to dive in. And once Memorial Day weekend hits, it's pretty safe to say that summer has officially begun.

And as it always does, the summer is bound to go by way too fast. It seems like every year we blink and suddenly it's August.

So, we want to take advantage of summer while we can, starting in the month of June.

New York City seems just as ready for warmer weather as we are: there's tons of amazing stuff going down this month that you absolutely can't miss out on.

Check out our list below and get ready to kick off summer in the best way possible.

1. Global Running Day (June 1st)

Get out and run! New York City is rich in parks. Tons of them. Loads of them. We would say millions, but that'd be a lie.

Global Running Day is a day for people around the world to celebrate the joys of running. Participation is easy—just pledge to take part in some type of running activity on June 1, 2016. It can be a solo lap around the block, a long run with friends, or even a game of tag with your kids.

If you're just going for a jog through one of NYC's parks, check out one of the New York Road Runners' Hydration Stations

They'll be camped out across all 5 boroughs to provide you with the hydration you need to keep running. Make your pledge to run right here

And what's more, we've partnered with the event to giveaway 2 Pro-Am tickets aboard one of the competing Atlantic Cup boats as a crew member in the Atlantic Cup Pro-Am.

The winner also gets 4 additional VIP tickets to watch the race on a “Chase Boat,” where they’ll catch some iconic views of NYC and join you at the exclusive Pro-Am cocktail party afterwards.
