Resolve to Listen to New Music This Year? Here's What We're Listening to This Weekend

For some reason, so many people are remembering tracks this week. It's probably because Guns N' Roses and LCD Soundsystem are reuniting to headline Coachella 2016 with Calvin Harris.

There's also new music from Drunken Doja Monkey, who's playing a late night set this Friday at Verboten. There's also a new track preview by someone named Kanye West, coproduced by Sia. And who can forget Panic! At the Disco's new album coming out this month?

Plus, in honor of medical marijuana coming to New York City this Thursday, we're throwing in some reggae.

We're rounding up a list of tracks that are on our radar right now. New and old, from all over the country and beyond. It's "What We're Listening To This Weekend."

So let's get into it. Grab your headphones, hopefully they're not Beats By Dre, and hit play.

1. Peter Tosh - "Legalize It"

Peter Tosh was the lead guitarist in the Wailers, which launched Tosh and Bob Marley into international superstardom.

While Marley was more of a household name, and both men have since passed on, Tosh's outspoken rhetoric lives on today.

2. Sia & Kanye West - "Reaper"

Pop queen Sia, and whatever you want to call Kanye West, have teamed up on a new track called "Reaper." While it's not available to hear in its entirety, the song will be available January 7th. Check out the teaser above.

3. Panic! At the Disco - "Don't Threaten Me with a Good Time"

Panic! doesn't seem to have slowed down over the years. They have released a single in support of their new album coming out January 15th called Death of a Bachelor

It's a banger track, with plenty of hype built into each bar, complete with Panic's usual pop-styled singalong hooks.

4. Drunken Doja Monkey - Meta Troll

Boston-based DJ and bassist Luke Bemand is a monster at making music. If he's not playing with lespecial, the world's premiere death-funk band, you can find him putting together tunes under the name Drunken Doja Monkey.

Aside from those projects, you can catch Bemand collaborating with a multitude of other highly gifted artists in groups like Schlang Worldwide Secret Band. Meta Troll is a brand new Drunken Doja Monkey mix featuring smooth tunes and prank calls to Guitar Center, because why not?

5. Travis Scott - "A Team"

Houston, Texas based hip hop star Travis Scott dropped a new track less than a week ago, and people are flipping out over it.

For some, his last album was one of the best of the year, but after this new track dropped, everyone's looking forward to the upcoming one! We'll just be here waiting.

6. 50 Cent feat. Post Malone - "Tryna Fuck Me Over"

50's back! On this Scoop Deville-produced track that's a little less than a month old, 50 features Post Malone, who almost steals the show.

Sure, 50's got the hook on lock, but Malone is the one who really gets creative on the track. Check it out!
