In the concrete jungle we find ourselves in, sometimes it's easy to forget we're surrounded by water.

And that water we're surrounded by may soon engulf us at the rate climate change is going at.

A project called "Wave Walk" is trying to bring attention to just that and raise funding for ocean conservation.

From now through June 21st, 52 tire-like wave sculptures will be found across the 5 boroughs.

There will be two on Roosevelt Island, two in the Bronx, one in LIC, and several across Manhattan and Brooklyn.

The coolest part?

They're designed by celebs like Keith Richards, Slash, and Cara Delevingne.

Slash designed a wave with an orange octopus with a fitted top hat, like his signature one of course.

The one pictured below is designed by Jason deClaires Taylor. Named "Silent Evolution," it highlights the fractured light and life found in the smallest of creatures.

You can even buy one of the waves online through June 21st or attend the live auction. The proceeds will go to the La Mer Blue Heart Oceans Fund for Project O, a charity fund to protect the ocean.
