What's better than people dressing up for Halloween?

Correct answer? Dogs.

The Tompkins Square Dog Halloween Parade is baaaackkk!

As reported by Gothamist, this year marks the 26th anniversary of the event, which prides itself on being the largest dog costume parade in the world.

Mark your calendars for October 22nd at 3p.m., and make your way uptown, downtown, crosstown, whatever you need to do to get to Tompkins Square Park.

These costumes range from garden gnomes to pizza slices to your classic hot dog.

The event, hosted by TV personality Giuliana Rancic, is set to attract several hundreds of dogs―okay so far this sounds like an absolute dream, right?!

No one has to do anything in advance regarding registration, the park just asks that your dog be in a physical costume (don't try to register yourself please...). Apparently it's been done before.

You are asked to donate something along the lines of $5 at registration, which will go towards a reception after the parade to showcase the contestants and reward the Best In Show winner.

If your calendar isn't cleared at this point, somethings up.
