March Is Way Out Like a Lamb: 5 Best Things Going Down This Weekend in NYC

Oh, March... where the hell did you go?!

In like a lion, out like a lamb, right? Especially considering the last weekend of March is typically serving up lamb for Easter supper...

No idea on what that saying actually means, but if you look out your window, it's looking really nice out.

We can't promise the same for the entirety of the weekend, but we know that there's really cool sh*t going down so long as you can just. Hold. On.

We're actin' a fool at No. 8, April Fools' Day has a pretty incredible comedy show we're stoked for, there's a pillow fight, and whether you prefer the whiskey drink or the lager drink, Saturday's rich with craft beverages.

Read on. See what else is going on this weekend.

Friday April 1st

Tracy Morgan April Fools Comedy Show at Madison Square Garden

We're totally down with good comedy on April Fools Day. It's hard to pull off a good prank, so we've pretty much either resorted to the long cons that'll never actually end, or we've given up entirely.

It's also a day where we remember the passing of one of comedy's greats, Mitch Hedberg, who died March 29th, 2005.

So, what do we do when we've given up on our own pranks and reflect on the life and jokes of one of our childhood idols? We laugh our asses off with Tracy Morgan.

Tracy Morgan's back in action after the suffering far too long from a car crash in 2014. We got excited when he hosted SNL back in October, and we're even more excited for his show at MSG Friday night at 8 p.m. Get your tickets here.

Act a Fool

It's going down for real.

We're actin' a fool at No. 8 in the Meatpacking District from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. featuring a one-hour open bar with our friends from Tequila Avión and The Hidden Sea Wines.

Yeah, read that again. Open bar. Tequila. Wine. No. 8

Oh, we're also giving out free spoiled swag like t-shirts, sunglasses, buttons, stickers, puppies. Okay, so not puppies. At least not yet.

This is just the first in a long line of monthly spoiled soirées we're throwing all year. Get ready. It's going to be dope. Get your tickets right here

Saturday April 2nd

Pillow Fight NYC 2016

nyc_fantastic_bigapple

Grab your pillows, ladies and gents, because this year’s annual Pillow Fight NYC is going down at Washington Square Park.

The pillows will start flying at 3 p.m. and the fight won’t stop until 6 p.m. Just make sure to bring a soft, feather-free pillow, because you don’t want to be the jerk who breaks someone’s nose with a pillow.

You can deposit your pillow in a donation truck when you’re finished in order to help Dare2B fight child poverty and homelessness in NYC, or you can take it with you.

Spring Craft Beer Festival

Spring Craft Distiller Festival

boweryhotel

We don't know about you, but we're feeling 22...1922, that is. Bad Taylor Swift wordplay for the sake of working in pre-prohibition NYC into the mix? Maybe. Whatever. We're drunk. Excuse us.

But seriously,

Get ready for a trip back to the good ol' Gatsby days with the third official NYC Craft Distillers Festival Saturday, April 2, 2016. Over 20 specially curated Craft Distillers join a 1920s jazz band at The Bowery Hotel and serve tastings over a two session, all-day, all-night speakeasy experience.

So bust out the Gatsby duds and get your tickets right here
