You know that weird moment when you’re walking down the street and realize you've passed half a dozen of vegetarian/vegan themed restaurants? By Chloe ignited a movement that has continued to grow in popularity, but for some reason, Terri has remained off of everyone's radar.
What’s Terri, you ask? A vegan sandwich shop with three locations in NYC, serving up some of the best fast food, vegan or not, in the city. They’ve been the healthy eater's cheat meal heaven for years, and in addition to their menu staples, sell desserts so good you'll forget they're vegan.
Their menu focuses on high protein items; specifically hearty salads, sandwiches, and grain bowls. With sandwich options including a buffalo "chicken" sandwich that tastes better than the real deal, and even a pulled "pork" sandwich that so convincing our friends wouldn't believe was meat-free. They've definitely raised the bar for vegan food.
Salad-wise we’re partial to the southwestern which includes BBQ seitan (a wheat-based protein), quinoa, corn, bean salad, dressed and ranch dressing. Obviously, you can't forget the guac.
Recently, they've expanded their menu to include Mexican-inspired dishes. Offering what they call the Territo Burrito, made with refried beans, pico de gallo, and their homemade guac. If it’s anything like their other options, we can’t wait to try it.
And what’s a meal without dessert? Their smoothies are always a refreshing option. Plus, whether it’s apple cider season or not, the cider donuts are to-die-for.
If you like being in the know and trying something new, or if you’re vegan and looking for a new option to try out with friends, Terri is quick, easy, affordable and soooo good.
