Sunnyside is once again setting the table for one of Queens’ most vibrant culinary celebrations as Sunnyside Restaurant Week returns from April 20th through May 4th, bringing with it a sweeping showcase of the neighborhood’s global flavors and community spirit.
Presented by Sunnyside Shines, the two-week event invites diners to explore more than 70 participating eateries, each offering specially curated three-course prix fixe dinners priced at $35, alongside additional combos and restaurant-specific specials. It’s a compelling entry point into one of New York City’s most culturally diverse dining destinations, where cuisines span Latin American, South Asian, European, and Ethiopian traditions all within a few walkable blocks.
Returning standouts include Ariyoshi, a longtime neighborhood favorite for Japanese fare, and Cardamom Indian Cuisine, known for its bold spice profiles and warm hospitality. Diners can also revisit Bliss 46 Bistro for French-inspired dishes, Bar 43 for hearty comfort food, De Mole for authentic Mexican cuisine, and SoleLuna for rustic Italian classics.
This year’s lineup also spotlights a wave of newer additions shaping the neighborhood’s evolving dining scene, including Masa Madre, Bajeko Sekuwa, and Maison de Gâteaux, alongside first-time participants like Makina, Coba Pizzeria, Pelicana Chicken, and Reyes Restaurant Antojitos Dominicanos.
“Restaurant Week in Sunnyside is more than a dining promotion—it’s a celebration of culture, flavor, and community,” said Dirk McCall de Palomá, Executive Director of Sunnyside Shines BID. Following a quieter winter season, the initiative aims to bring renewed energy to the neighborhood while encouraging both locals and visitors to rediscover its dynamic restaurant scene.
Supported by local leaders including Michael Gianaris, Julie Won, and Claire Valdez, as well as the NYC Department of Small Business Services, the event continues to play a key role in supporting small businesses and strengthening the local economy.
With dozens of restaurants and limited-time menus to explore, Sunnyside Restaurant Week offers an ideal excuse to dine beyond the usual rotation—and to experience firsthand the rich, ever-evolving flavors that define this Queens neighborhood.
