We all know New Yorkers are suckers for a speakeasy.
It's not like we wish liquor was still illegal... we just like pretending. And wearing fringe.
Grab your best Gatsby attire this summer, and head to Metropolis for an intimate live jazz series– plan carefully though, they're only open on Thursdays from 5:30 p.m - 11:30 p.m.
Guests enter from the Blue Water Grill (31 Union Square West) entrance, travel down a fight of stairs and finally end up at the mystical place.
Blue Water Grill is famous for their oysters, so it isn't a surprise that the speakeasy underneath also has amazing seafood.
Metropolis is surrounded by light grey walls, velvet drapes, and hand painted artwork. Even though this is a very historic place, everything is quite up up to date. We recommend making a reservation.

It sucks that it's only open once a week, because it's probably jammed packed every Thursday!
See you down under NYC!
